    TRANSPORTATION: Inland transportation is by truck.

    WEATHER: Winds easterly, primarily south-east. Harbor provides safe berthing as long as winds remain easterly. If winds shift to the west, port becomes exposed.

    Nominal tidal range. Vessels of over 20 foot draft should consult a pilot prior to arrival.

    ANCHORAGE: Anchorage points are marked with orange floats to the north and south of the pier. Not recommended without pilot.

    PILOTAGE: Compulsory for vessels over 100 grt. Daylight navigation only. Pilotage charges are calculated on a per foot draft basis - US$6.50 per foot plus US$0.005 per grt.

    Cruise: Four berths at Ann E. Abrahamson Marine Facility, two of which are deep drafted to 8.2 meters forward and two shallow draft berths with a maximum of 6.0 meters draft. Small cruise ships accommodated at Gallows Bay Dock.

    Ro-ro: At Wilfred "Bomba" Allick Port. Small ro-ro ramp at South Base of pier at Ann E. Abrahamson Marine Facility. One ramp at Gallows Bay Dock.

    NEW FACILITIES: Plans under way to install two sets of breasting/mooring dolphins at Ann E. Abrahamson Marine Facility, which will enable the port to accommodate the newer class of megaships and even larger 'Eagle' class vessels.
