    LOCATION: Latitude: 29° 38' N - Longitude: 90° 2' W - Located on the 14,500 mile Mid-America inland waterway system with 22 miles of wharves and terminals spread along the Mississippi River, the Industrial Canal and Mississippi River Gulf-Outlet.

    WORKING HOURS: Mon-Sun: 24 hours - Closed: Christmas Day, New Year's Day, Mardi Gras Day, Labor Day (First Monday in September).

    HAZARDS: The crest located at 198 feet (Mile 94).

    TRANSPORTATION: All the main berths of the port are rail linked. Hinterland transportation is by road, rail, river and cabotage. Moisant International Airport is 30 km from the sea port.

    IMPORTS AND EXPORTS: Imports: Iron and steel, forest products, rubber, copper and coffee - Exports: Iron and steel, forest products.

    WEATHER: Winds affect port operations only in severest of weather - No tides.

    ANCHORAGE: Mile Point 91 AAP with more than 45 feet of depth.

    PILOTAGE: Pilots board at Pilot Town - Bay pilot navigates vessels through Mississippi River passes. Crescent River pilot navigates vessels up river to destinations within port limits - For details of tariff charges, contact:
