    APPROACH: Kingstown harbour.

    HAZARDS: None.

    TRANSPORTATION: All internal transportation is by truck and inter-island ferry.

    E.T. Joshua Airport is 3 km from the sea port.

    IMPORTS AND EXPORTS:

    Imports: General Exports: Bananas, rice, flour.

    WEATHER: 10 knot winds Tidal variation is 0.5 to 1.5 meters.

    ANCHORAGE: Vessels can anchor in depths of 36.6 meters in sand in the middle of the bay about one-third of a mile offshore.

    PILOTAGE: Pilot boards between 0.5 and 2 nautical miles off berth.

    Pilotage charges are calculated on the basis of grt.

    TOWAGE: None.

    TRAFFIC: Vessel calls per year:

    Cargo handled per year: 300,000 to 400,000 tonnes.

    Cargo handled per day: Less than 1,000 tonnes.

    STORAGE: Open storage: Available Covered storage: Available.

    Air draft: No restrictions Refrigeration capacity: 12 reefer plugs.

    BUNKERS: Supplied by road tanker.

    PROVISIONS: None notified.

    WATER: Fresh water is available 24 hours a day at Port Kingstown. There is no restriction on volumes available. Price is EC$0.5 per gallon.

    FACILITIES: Largest vessel: 74,000 dwt.

    Maximum draft alongside: 9.75 meters Longest vessel: 312 meters LOA.

    Tankers and LPG carriers: Two berths available.
