    WORKING HOURS: Mon-Sun: 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.

    TRANSPORTATION: Inland transportation is mainly by road. A rail facility serving the docks is planned for 2000 upon completion of the transisthmian railroad. This facility will be be served by the Panama Canal Railroad Co (PCRC), owned by the US-based Kansas City Southern Railway - Airport: France Field Airport is 2.2 km from MIT.

    IMPORTS AND EXPORTS: Imports: Machinery, electrical appliances, textile fabrics and footwear - Exports: Bananas, fruit and shrimps.

    WEATHER: Winds: 15 mph winds from the northeast - Tidal range: 1 ft.

    PILOTAGE: Pilot boards outside MIT breakwater.

    TOWAGE: Provided by Smit International Harbour Towage (Panama) Inc.

    STORAGE: Open storage: 370,000 square meters.

    Covered storage: MIT-CFS warehouse with 10,000 square meters capacity.

    Air draft: No restrictions - Refrigeration capacity: 450 reefer plugs (440 volts).

    BUNKERS: Ships are bunkered by tanker barge.

    PROVISIONS: Shipchandlers available only through steamship lines/agencies.

    WATER: Water availability only through ship chandlers.

    FACILITIES: Maximum draft alongside: 13 meters.

    Containers: 37 paved hectares of container yard with 26 hectares under development and 43 additional hectares available for future development.

    Ro-ro: One 200 metre ro-ro berth and one 25 metre Med-style ro-ro ramp (1.75 meters above MSL in ro-ro ramp).

    NEW FACILITIES: Wharf expansion of 277.5 meters. Eight hectares of new paved yard. Container storage currently under development. Six hectares of landfield for container yard. Twelve additional hectares of paved container yard.
