The main approach, marked by Buoy PP, is five miles long and 170 meters wide with a depth of 11 meters. HAZARDS: A five mile long buoyed and lighted channel leads between off-lying shoals. The upper end, from the entrance channel limit at Cochons Island to the wharves, is dredged to 11 meters. TRANSPORTATION: Hinterland transportation is mainly by cabotage and road. Le Raizet Airport is 5 km from the sea port.
