    HAZARDS: Shallow water at Bonc de Medee.

    TRANSPORTATION: Inland transportation is by road - Grand Case Airport is 3 km from the sea port - Princess Juliana Airport is located in St Maarten.

    IMPORTS AND EXPORTS:

    Imports: General cargo (containers and bulks) - Exports: None.

    WEATHER: South-easterly winds, generally Force 1 to 3, occasionally Force 5. East to south-east tides, generally 3 to 6 feet.

    ANCHORAGE: Available in Marigot Bay with 3 to 7.5 meters depth.

    PILOTAGE: Not compulsory. Pilot provided upon request of agent of vessel. Pilotage charges are calculated by length of vessel.

    STORAGE: Open storage: 15,000 square meters - Covered storage: Warehouse of 1,000 square metres capacity - Refrigeration capacity: 16 plugs (380 to 420 volts).

    BUNKERS: Ships are refuelled by tanker barge and road tanker.

    WATER: Fresh water available on the berth upon request at US$16 per cubic meter.

    FACILITIES: Maximum draft alongside: 6 meters - Longest vessel: 150 meters LOA.

    Cruise: Vessels operate on anchorage. Passengers are tendered from ship to shore.

    Breakbulk: Berthing at Principal or Annexe depending on draft of vessel - Container: Vessels berth at Principal to work under the crane - Ro-ro: Vessels up to 32 meters length and 6 meters draft can be worked - Tankers: Vessels operate from the mooring buoys - LPG carriers: Vessels operate from mooring buoys.

    MEDICAL AID: Marigot Hospital is 1 km from the port.

    ENVIRONMENT: All International and French regulations are implemented. Garbage disposal and used oil disposal services are provided.
