    TRANSPORTATION: Inland transportation is by truck. The port is rail connected to the sugar mill. Las Americas International Airport, Santo Domingo, is 150 km from the port.

    IMPORTS AND EXPORTS: Imports: None - Exports: Sugar, molasses, gypsum.

    WEATHER: Minimal tides.

    ANCHORAGE: Deepwater anchorage is available just outside the port entrance.

    PILOTAGE: Pilot boards about 1.5 miles outside port.

    TOWAGE: Compulsory. A 350 hp tug is available, owned by the local sugar mill.

    TRAFFIC: Vessel calls per year: Not known.

    Cargo handled per year: Not known - Cargo handled per day: Not known.

    EQUIPMENT: None at Berths 1 and 2. Crane and conveyor belt system for gypsum at Berth 3.

    STORAGE: None at Berths 1 and 2. Open storage: Up to 20,000 tonnes of rock gypsum.

    Air draft: No restrictions - Refrigeration capacity: None.

    BUNKERS: By tank truck from Santo Domingo.

    WATER: A pipeline at the pier head, but very little pressure.

    FACILITIES: Berthing: Four berths (only two in regular use).

    Maximum draft alongside: 31 feet - Longest vessel: 185 meters LOA.
