    APPROACH: Landmark: Quick flashing red light at end of breakwater.

    TRANSPORTATION: Inland transportation is by truck.

    Grantley Adams International Airport is 18 km from the Port of Bridgetown.

    IMPORTS AND EXPORTS:

    Imports: Mineral fuel, petroleum products, manufactured goods, foodstuffs, machinery, transport equipment.

    Exports: Mineral fuel and lubricants, foodstuffs, manufactured goods and foodstuffs.

    WEATHER: North west trade winds - Tidal range is 1 meter.

    ANCHORAGE: General anchorage area is off Carlisle Bay.

    PILOTAGE: Compulsory. Pilot boards half a mile southwest of the fairway buoy. Vessels should submit Form 'A' prior to arrival and contact signal station as soon as possible after entering national waters. Vessels should then proceed to pilot station as directed by signal station. Rig pilot ladder 1 meter above sea level. On departure, vessels should again contact signal station.
