    CSA assisting ports, terminals with applications for 2010

    2010 March 26: The 2010 Caribbean Port Awards will be presented at the Caribbean Shipping Association’s 40th Anniversary Gala Banquet, October 13, 2010 in Montego Bay, Jamaica.

     

    The Association will be reviewing the performance and operations of ports across the region during the calendar year 2009 in order to determine which were the most efficient, safe and dependable marine terminals in the Caribbean, Latin America and the Gulf of Mexico.

     

    The CSA Secretariat is assisting ports and terminals with the application process. The Secretariat will be making contact with ports and terminals by the end of this month.

     

    CSA SALUTES WINNERS IN 2009

    Caribbean Shipping Association salutes all the winners of the 2009 Caribbean Port Awards.

     

    The Awards were announced and presented at the Association’s 39th Anniversary Gala Banquet held in Paramaribo, Suriname on October 14 and are based on operations and performance during the calendar year 2008.

     

    BEST MULTI-PURPOSE TERMINAL - St. Lucia Marine Terminals.

    BEST CONTAINER TERMINAL – SPRC - Cartagena, Colombia.

     

     

     

    Sectional Awards

    The CSA's Port Award Committee resumed the awarding of sectional prizes in 2009 and added a new category, Safety and Security. The Committee acknowledged and awarded these prices in recognition of special effort and achievement in four critical areas of port and terminal operations.
