CSA Business Exposition “Shipping Insight 2010” provides

    A unique marketing opportunity

2009, July 7: Companies and organizations supplying goods and services to the shipping industry of the Caribbean and Latin American region will have an opportunity to present their products directly to target markets at “Shipping Insight 2010”

“Shipping Insight 2010”, is the business exposition to be staged later this year by the Caribbean Shipping Association (CSA) as part of its 39th Annual conference, October 12, 13 and 14, 2009 in Paramaribo, Suriname.

The CSA’s Annual General Meeting, Conference and Exhibition, is one of the largest gathering of regional shipping industry decision-makers.  Nearly all of the region’s shipping entities, private and public sector, from across all four language groups -  English, Spanish, French and Dutch – will be in Paramaribo for the event.

This annual business exposition, “Shipping Insight”, is staged so as to give conference delegates an introduction to what goods and services for improving or enhancing their operations are to become available in the coming year.

"SHIPPING INSIGHT 2010” will be held over the three days of the Conference and is presented at the conference hotel as an integral part of the CSA’s 39th Annual General Meeting, Conference and Exhibition. The exhibition hall is sited adjacent to the conference room to provide maximum exposure for exhibitors’ products and services to conference delegates. Exhibition space is limited and it allotted on a ‘first come, first served’ basis.

Companies taking part in this exposition will get a unique opportunity to expose their business to:

    * Members and Associates of the CSA and Observers present at the CSA's 39th annual conference

    * Ship operators and representatives of major shipping lines serving the Caribbean and Latin American region

    * Leading Ship Agents from the English, Spanish, French and Dutch Caribbean and Latin American region

    * Port operators and Port Authority officials from the major ports in the Caribbean, Central America, Southern United States and northern South America.

    * Stevedoring contractors from across the entire Caribbean and Latin American region.

“The name Shipping Insight was chosen because we wanted to encourage exhibitors to give our members an insight into what was new and what to expect in the coming period. We wanted to produce an exhibition that was futuristic. Of course, we did not expect that every year there would be new goods and services coming on to the market. However, we did feel that by giving this exhibition a theme that was forward looking, it would encourage exhibitors to see this event as a means of show-casing new ideas and technology,” said CSA President Fernando Rivera.

Companies and organizations wishing to take part in Shipping Insight 2010 are encouraged to contact the CSA Secretariat (csa@cwjamaica.com) as soon as possible.
