39th Annual General Meeting, Conference and Exhibition

       Tomorrow Begins Today

2009, July 24: The CSA is now receiving registrations for the largest shipping event on the regional maritime calendar, its Annual General Meeting, Conference and Exhibition.

The topics and ideas for discussion and special treatment at the CSA’s 39th Annual conference, were carefully selected to give participants hard information, effective tools and creative strategies with which to plan and engineer business growth and corporate success.

    A SEARCH FOR SOLUTIONS

Conference participants, led by expert presenters, will delve into the realities of today’s business environment in a search for solutions and to identify directions which will ultimately lead to success. It is this empowerment that takes place at CSA conferences which makes attendance imperative for all decision-makers and managers in the regional shipping industry.

Scheduled for October 12, 13 and 14, the CSA’s 39th annual conference will be held in Paramaribo, Suriname at the Torarica Group of Hotels

As CSA General Manager Clive Forbes stated: “The conference will focus on the need to implement 'today' identified regional opportunities within the shipping industry and to put in place the necessary mechanism for growth that will lead to viable, profitable and sustainable cargo, cruise and luxury yacht sectors throughout the Caribbean and Latin American region.”

Conference participants will examine the current “Business and Economic Outlook for Global Trade and Cruise Tourism” and in reviewing new realities in a changing world, will examine the “Benefits of Regional Cruise and Cargo Integration”.

better able to plan and strategize

In order to ensure that participants come away with information to make them better able to plan and strategize, the CSA’s 39th Annual conference will have participants peering into the future. Under the banner “Tomorrow Begins Today”, participants will receive valuable intelligence to allow them to chart a route to success. The presentations “Marrying Trade and Security: The Way Forward” and “Who Owns and Runs your Business Tomorrow? “ are conference events no business owner in the Region should miss.

Delegates attending this conference will benefit from travel insurance as part of the conference package. Limited translation facility will be in place to accommodate Spanish and French delegates.

The conference is being presented by Caribbean Shipping Association (CSA) in collaboration with the N.V. Havenbeheer Suriname (Suriname Port Management Company) and Suriname Shipping Association.
