CARIBBEAN SHIPPING EXECUTIVES CONFERENCE
 
2006, May 15: “Developing Partnerships” in
support of development of the Caribbean cruise industry; and, “Branding The
Caribbean” are the two major topics to be addressed at the Caribbean Shipping
Association’s (CSA) Cruise Industry Conference on Wednesday, May 24, 2006, in
Curacao.
The CSA’s Cruise Industry Conference forms part
of the annual 3-day Caribbean Shipping Executives Conference, presented by the
Association, considered the voice of the regional shipping industry.
Already, 150 persons have registered as delegates and registrations during the
coming week are expected to put the final number of delegates at over 200.
This
year’s fifth annual Caribbean Shipping Executives Conference will be held in
Willemstad, Curacao, May 22, 23 and 24.
The
discussions on the topic “Developing Partnerships:” will be led by Horace Hord
Jr., Regional Vice President Royal Caribbean International / Celebrity Cruises.

The
discussion paper “Branding the Caribbean” will be presented by Vincent
Vanderpool Wallace, Secretary General of the Caribbean Tourism Organization.

The afternoon session of the Conference will be a
discussion on the Three Year Work Programme of the CSA’s Cruise Committee. This
recently formed CSA body is charged with supporting and facilitating the growth
and development of the Caribbean cruise industry and is chaired by Jan Sierhuis
of Curacao. Leading the discussions will be Mr. Sierhuis and CSA President,
Corah Ann Robertson-Sylvester.
