    BRIDGETOWN PORT RECEIVES NEW VESSEL

2006, April 4: Barbados received one of the newest vessels in the Caribbean cruise industry last weekend with the arrival at the Bridgetown Port of the Ms. Noordam from the Holland America Cruise Line.

The vessel, which was brought into service in March will be making a couple of stops in Barbados during the season.

The Noordam, with a passenger capacity of two thousand, marked its arrival in the island with an exchange of plaques between the captain and port officials.

The ship brings the number of vessels owned by the company to thirteen.

Divisional manager at the Barbados Port Authority Kenneth Atherley welcomed the ship and crew to the country.
